Occupational safety and health, health management promotion and management system

We have established a "Safety and Health Committee" for the purpose of establishing a safe and comfortable working environment. The Safety and Health Committee is headed by the General Manager of the Human Resources Division and is responsible for occupational safety and health throughout our company and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as "our group"). Under the supervision of the Executive Officer in charge, the committee promotes safety and health activities throughout our group.

Occupational Safety and Health

In order to maintain a working environment where all employees can work in good health both physically and mentally, under the supervision of the executive officer in charge, we hold safety and health committee meetings, conduct various medical examinations, provide counseling by industrial physicians, etc. In addition, we identify occupational safety and health risks in the business activities of each group company and promote efforts to reduce these risks.

Occupational Risk Assessment

In order to prevent the occurrence of industrial accidents and comply with labor practices, we are working to identify and reduce occupational health and safety risks through labor risk assessments such as regular stress checks for employees, monitoring and predicting long working hours, and conducting employee satisfaction surveys including monitoring harassment. In addition, group companies are also assessing the risk of excessive work and taking corrective measures to comply with the Article 36 Agreement.

Specifically, we use the attendance management system to conduct monthly and yearly work hour simulations to check the individual situations of employees who are expected to work particularly long hours, consider how to respond, and regularly report to management in order to optimize work hours. We also conduct "unpaid overtime surveys" for all employees to understand the actual situation, and educational activities through "employee awareness surveys regarding overtime work." By regularly reporting on these efforts and the situation regarding excessive work to management meetings and the health and safety committee, we can confirm the effectiveness of risk reduction and lead to further strengthening of our efforts.

Emergency Safety Measures

We have established a system to ensure the safety of employees in the event of natural disasters (earthquakes, typhoons, etc.) or other emergencies. In the event of an emergency, we will set up an emergency response headquarters as necessary and take appropriate measures in accordance with the emergency response rules established by each group company. In addition, to prepare for emergencies, we regularly conduct comprehensive disaster prevention drills in preparation for large-scale disasters and employee safety confirmation drills using the safety confirmation system.

Furthermore, as part of our safety measures in peacetime, we have created a system for commuting and attendance instructions that prioritizes employee safety, and we stockpile daily necessities such as drinking water and food at bases across the country in an effort to create an environment that ensures the health of employees even in the event of a disaster.
