Work Style (Mainly telework, Mainly office work)

Employees can choose between teleworking and office work depending on their working style. "Teleworking" is a working style with no teleworking restrictions, while "office work" is a working style with no restrictions on coming to the office. Regardless of which you choose, you can combine teleworking and coming to the office to achieve a working style that suits your work balance. Our company introduced teleworking as part of work-life balance in 2018, and has since expanded the telework system as a new way of working. In July 2022, our achievements were recognized and we were certified as one of the "Top 100 Telework Pioneers."

Flextime system

We have introduced a flextime system with a core time of 11:00 to 15:00, which is used by over 90% of employees. In addition, we have applied a super flextime system with no core time for some engineers. Taking into consideration the unique circumstances of engineers, such as peak and low times for work and system releases, we support the easing of long working hours and flexible working styles.

Company-specific holidays/Paid vacation encouragement/Days to leave work on time, etc.

SBT has its own set of company holidays and is also working to encourage employees to take paid leave.

  • Year-end and New Year holidays
    The year-end and New Year holidays are set from December 29th to January 3rd. The total number of holidays per year will be 123 days (actual for 2024).
  • Benefactor Appreciation Day
    One weekday during the Golden Week holidays is designated as a unique holiday called "Benefactor Appreciation Day."
  • Paid vacation encouragement
    We offer A day where taking PTO is encouraged once a quarter. This is set in accordance with long vacations that are linked together before and after the holidays, consecutive holidays, etc.
  • Regular leaving day every Wednesday
    Once a week, we set aside a day to encourage employees to leave the office on time.
  • SBT Premium Friday
    We recommend leaving work at 3 p.m. on the last Friday of every month, but we also set these days flexibly throughout the year according to business peaks and slack times and A day where taking PTO is encouraged.
