SB Technology Corp.

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shinichi Ata; hereinafter referred to as SBT) will begin offering "NOZ SecOps," a service that handles operational tasks specialized for security products, from August 7, 2024, with the aim of reducing the burden on corporate information systems departments and security personnel.

This service involves SBT engineers handling operational tasks to maintain an optimal security environment, such as handling inquiries about security products from manufacturers, system monitoring and troubleshooting, and recovery support when an incident occurs *1. The security product categories covered are EDR, UTM, SIEM, SASE, etc. *2. Since the tasks are handled by engineers who are familiar with each security product, they can be performed accurately and quickly, reducing the burden on customers' security operations. This allows customers to focus on their internal operations.
Furthermore, this service is able to handle inquiries from overseas branches of domestic companies that operate globally, in both Japanese and English, at the same level as domestic inquiries.

■Background

In recent years, cyber attacks have been increasing, and their methods are becoming more diverse and sophisticated. In addition, the rapid spread of cloud services and the introduction of diverse working styles in companies have made it more difficult to maintain an optimal security environment. Against this backdrop, there is a need to strengthen security measures such as multi-layered defense, as well as operational measures such as building systems to prepare for incidents *3. However, companies have a chronic issue of a lack of personnel familiar with security products.
In response to these challenges, SBT has begun offering "NOZ SecOps," a service that handles operational tasks specialized for security products.

SBT opened SBT-SOC in 2014 and has been providing a wide range of services, including managed security services where specialized analysts monitor security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, consulting to support comprehensive security measures, product implementation and operation support, and recovery support after incidents occur. Utilizing our knowledge of security product operation and incident response, we will support our customers in protecting their important information assets and ensuring business continuity by performing operational tasks to maintain an optimal security environment.

■Service overview

This service provides three services: a 24/7 "contact service," security product "system monitoring and troubleshooting," and "operational services" to maintain an optimal security environment. In addition, an optional menu is also provided, including security incident response (24/7). Target security product categories include EDR, UTM, SIEM, SASE, etc. *2.

■Service features

Maintaining a secure environment

We support the operation of security products in customer environments related to defense, detection/analysis, response, and recovery in the security countermeasure process (maintenance such as configuration changes, understanding of operation status, log management, software updates, etc.) Since engineers who are familiar with security products handle the work, the work can be carried out accurately and quickly, allowing customers to focus on their internal operations.

* Operational support in the event of an incident (available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year)

Our engineers with specialized knowledge will provide accurate and prompt support in recovering from the damage caused by the incident, allowing our customers to focus on taking permanent measures to prevent recurrence (deleting malicious files, remotely wiping devices when they are lost, full device scans, etc.).
