■Background

The agricultural population is expected to decline significantly in the future due to the aging of the farming workforce, and issues such as labor shortages and the inheritance of know-how are becoming more serious.
In order to solve these issues, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is promoting digital transformation in the agricultural field, and is introducing digital technologies such as robots and ICT with the goal of enabling all agricultural workers to practice data utilization by 2025. We aim to realize smart agriculture that uses ultra-labor saving and high-quality production. In addition, in terms of data utilization, we built the Agricultural Data Linkage Infrastructure (WAGRI), a platform for linking various agricultural data, and it has been in full-scale operation since April 2019.
AGMIRU was launched in June 2017 as a matching service that allows you to easily compare agricultural materials as part of the Marumie Agri project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. As announced in February *1, we believe that collaboration between agricultural data and agricultural services is essential through open innovation, and have been working together with each company to date. Now, we are launching the new AGMIRU, an agricultural platform that uses data to realize highly reliable agricultural management. We will continue to look for companies to collaborate with us and aim to improve convenience for farmers in Japan through AGMIRU.

We are launching a campaign site prior to the release of AGUMIRU (beta version). Please see here for the detail

■Service overview

In addition to the agricultural material comparison and purchasing services that we have traditionally provided to farmers and agricultural material distributors, the new AGMIRU will also provide various information, as well as image diagnosis, production management, crop sales, accounting, finance, etc. on AGMIRU. We provide services that can be centrally managed. Furthermore, we will promote the use of the Agricultural Data Linkage Infrastructure (WAGRI).
Farmers can easily perform a series of management-related tasks, from purchasing materials to production management, crop sales, and accounting, and distributors of agricultural materials can efficiently serve farmers seeking better products. It can be sold in various ways. It is also possible to purchase crops, and you can easily purchase crops and request samples via the website or application.
As the first step in this renewal, we will begin disseminating some information such as weather, market conditions, and news, as well as providing material purchasing services. In addition to regular purchasing, farmers can also purchase materials that meet their desired conditions and receive proposals that include aftercare and warranties. We offer possible consultative purchasing. We plan to gradually start providing various services such as image analysis, production management, and accounting.

AGMIRU provided services. A series of services can be operated from a smartphone.
