■About “Japan HR Challenge Award”
The “Japan HR Challenge Award” (sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan Small and Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation Organization (SME Support Corporation), Toyo Keizai Inc., Business Publishing, and HR Research Institute (ProFuture)) was awarded as “Bold challenges in the field of human resources will energize Japanese society.” This award recognizes companies that are proactively implementing outstanding new initiatives in the field of human resources, with the catchphrase ``to make the world a better place.'' The purpose of this award is to promote the revitalization of Japanese society by recognizing companies whose management, human resources department, etc. are proactively taking on challenges in the field of human resources.
This year, which is the 12th year since it started in 2012, our case study was selected from a total of 98 applications.
■Reason for award
We have created a new role grade called "Advanced Expert Field," and created a dynamic remuneration system based on a full annual salary system, as well as a system that allows employees to work in the same role and remuneration even after the mandatory retirement age of 60, to encourage diverse work styles. Create an environment where you can take on challenges. In addition, we have created a certification system that allows employees to challenge themselves by raising their hands within the company, and more than 10 mid-career and currently employed employees have been certified in one year, attracting human resources in highly specialized fields that are highly difficult. It was highly praised for its achievements.
■About the advanced expert position system
In 2013, we introduced a system that links roles and treatment rather than seniority. This initiative has created a new "advanced expert area" in the system, with the aim of rewarding human resources with more advanced expertise and realizing long-term career paths.
Specifically, by establishing a ``dynamic remuneration design based on full annual salary'' and ``a career system that allows people to continue demonstrating their expertise regardless of their age,'' we will be able to recruit highly specialized personnel and increase the sophistication of our engineers. We have created specialized human resources.
