SB Technology Corp. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shinichi Ata; hereinafter referred to as SBT) has begun linking with LANSCOPE Endpoint Manager On-Premise Edition (hereinafter referred to as Endpoint Manager On-Premise Edition), an integrated endpoint management service provided by MOTEX Corp. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Yoshiro Miyazaki), in its "SaaS Patrol" service, which visualizes and centrally manages the status of SaaS usage within a company, and has added it as an optional menu item. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have begun offering an analysis dashboard function that visualizes the results of service detection, including the organization's shadow IT (service usage that the IT department is not aware of).
■About SaaS Patrol
SaaS Patrol is a service that detects SaaS used within a company from email and web access logs *1, and allows you to manage and visualize the detected services and user (employee) permission status on the management screen. This makes it possible to detect shadow IT and manage the service usage status of each user, reducing security risks while reducing the burden on information security personnel.
■ Web access log integration with LANSCOPE Endpoint Manager on-premise version
Now, by linking with Endpoint Manager On-Premise, which boasts a high market share in the industry, it is possible to detect services being used within the company based on the web access logs of the existing Endpoint Manager On-Premise, and visualize whether or not each user is using a service, as well as how frequently they have been used over the past 30 days. Because web access logs are obtained directly from users' PC terminals, logs can also be obtained for access that does not go through the company network, such as in teleworking, enabling more accurate service detection.
■Analysis dashboard function
This function compares and analyzes the services registered by customers in SaaS Patrol and their authorized user information with actual usage status collected from web access logs, and displays them in a list. This supports the work of information security personnel, such as identifying shadow IT and managing users appropriately, without spending time on analysis and compilation.
The dashboard visualizes indicators for determining whether permitted services are being used appropriately for the entire organization, for each user, and for each service. Unauthorized service use and missed account deletions are also visualized, allowing you to determine the priority of responses at a glance.
