SB Technology begins providing managed security services for CrowdStrike Falcon

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President ＆ CEO: Shinichi Ata; hereinafter referred to as SBT) is an integrated security platform that can detect and respond to cyberattacks for corporate customers. Falcon) *1' will be added as a new monitoring target of the managed security service 'MSS for EDR', and the service will begin providing the service from December 22, 2022.

In this service, security analysts monitor the CrowdStrike Falcon in the customer's environment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from SBT 's Security Monitoring Center (SOC), analyze logs, and report. If we detect suspicious behavior, we will take prompt action on your behalf (such as immediately isolating the suspected device from the network). Additionally, by investigating the impact on other devices, it is possible to shorten the time it takes to recover.

■Background

In recent years, an increasing number of companies have adopted hybrid work that combines office work and telework, and security measures based on zero trust, which are premised on diverse work styles, are attracting attention. To achieve Zero Trust, security measures to protect PCs and other devices are important, so EDR products are essential. However, it is often difficult for user companies to appropriately judge and respond to alerts detected by EDR products, and an increasing number of companies, especially major companies, are using specialized SOC services (managed EDR services). *2.

Until now, SBT has expanded the target menu of "MSS for EDR", a managed security service for EDR products, to meet customer needs. We have now added CrowdStrike Falcon, an integrated security platform that has established a leadership position in the cybersecurity industry and has a large share in the endpoint security market.

1) Quick response

At SBT 's SOC, security analysts monitor the situation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and if suspicious behavior is detected, we take prompt action (such as immediately isolating a device suspected of being compromised from the network).

2) On-demand research

Regarding investigations based on external information (alerts detected by other security devices, external reports, etc.), SBT 's security analysts will investigate the alerts and logs of EDR products on behalf of the customer. (*Up to 5 cases per month)

3) Proactive control

In addition to a series of analyzes and quarantines, we will analyze related incidents and suppress fraudulent activities for SBT 's MSS contract monitoring targets. (*Separate MSS contract for other monitoring targets is required)
