SB Technology declares carbon neutrality in 2030

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President ＆ CEO: Shinichi Ata; hereafter SBT) aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions *1 associated with business activities in order to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. We would like to inform you that we have set a new goal to achieve net zero emissions by fiscal 2030.
Accordingly, SBT announced its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in July 2022.

In order to realize a sustainable society, SBT is implementing initiatives to combat climate change using IT, such as promoting cloud computing and improving power efficiency through AI and IoT. We have recently set a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions *1 associated with our business activities to net zero by fiscal 2030.
The annual greenhouse gas emissions associated with SBT 's business activities are approximately 388 tons of CO2 equivalent (2021 results) *2, the majority of which is emissions associated with electricity use. Therefore, in order to achieve carbon neutrality, we will focus on switching to electricity derived from renewable energy. Through this activity, we will promote decarbonization and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

In addition, we have expressed support for the TCFD's recommendations, and are conducting discussions in line with the TCFD's recommendations to accurately understand and appropriately disclose the impact of climate change on business activities, and to improve governance, strategy, and risk management. We have disclosed our policy and current status regarding "indicators and targets."
