(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: We will provide President Tetsuji Madarame (NBS) with one-stop support to migrate the NYK Group's communication infrastructure to Microsoft Office 365 (Office 365) and achieve secure access control on the cloud. We would like to inform you that we have introduced "ADFS on Cloud" (hereinafter referred to as AoC).
We provide one-stop support for the NYK Group's cloud migration with our cloud implementation experience and know-how from over 600 companies.
Since its founding in 1885 (Meiji 18), Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NYK Line) has built an international transportation network that spans "sea, land, and air," and has enriched people's lives through safe and reliable "transportation of goods." A global comprehensive logistics company that supports NBS is an information systems company that is responsible for formulating and promoting the NYK Group's information strategy, planning, developing, maintaining and operating each company's business systems, and supporting various users.
As part of the NYK Group's IT strategy to strengthen its competitiveness, NBS is strengthening collaboration among group companies and proactively proposing new services and improving business operations that leverage the group's ingenuity and ingenuity. In order to achieve this goal, we decided to migrate to the cloud service Office 365 as a new group communication platform to replace the existing systems such as Notes that we had previously used.
When introducing Office 365, we meet the following conditions: implementation track record, commitment to the initial implementation period, a full support system including operational support, all-cloud migration of the system to be migrated, and secure access to Office 365 by managing users and devices. SBT made this possible.
In about 6 months from April 2015, we migrated email and schedule management functions from existing systems such as Notes for 4 companies including NBS and approximately 6,000 users. The migration of mainly 18,000 users has been completed. Office 365 is expected to be used by approximately 200 NYK Group companies, including overseas companies, and more than 30,000 users by March 2018.
As a cloud partner that realizes the NYK Group's IT strategy, SBT will continue to propose the use of cloud and collaboration tools that will strengthen competitiveness.
