SB Technology launches Cloudflare WAF service

- Strengthening corporate application security with measures against DDoS and bots -

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shinichi Ata; hereinafter referred to as SBT) will begin offering the Cloudflare WAF (Web Application Firewall) service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Cloudflare), as well as handling inquiries regarding implementation and post-implementation services.
Cloudflare WAF is an advanced security solution for protecting web applications. It detects and responds to threats in real time, strengthening defense against DDoS attacks, bot attacks, and more. It uses machine learning to analyze and respond quickly to unknown threats, providing a safe environment.

■Background

In recent years, with the advancement of digital transformation (DX), companies have been increasing access to their information assets from both inside and outside the company. At the same time, the types and methods of cyber attacks have become more sophisticated and diverse, and cyber attacks targeting companies are on the rise year by year. Meanwhile, according to Cloudflare, attacks on the application layer are still continuing, and in terms of DDoS attacks, it has been reported that approximately 21.3 million attacks were blocked throughout 2024, an increase of 53% compared to 2023. Against this background, SBT will begin handling Cloudflare WAF, which not only provides cutting-edge WAF functions but also a wide range of security measures, including real-time detection through machine learning, to provide a comprehensive response to the increasingly sophisticated and cunning web-based cyber attacks that companies face.
