SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Shinichi Ata, hereinafter referred to as SBT) has developed a unique system that works with Azure OpenAI Service, and will have approximately 1,000 employees from June 2023. We would like to inform you that we have started using the service.
Our uniquely developed system incorporates business logic that leverages our extensive experience in developing Microsoft solutions, creating a highly scalable system configuration that allows you to easily expand and add various business applications and databases. By linking with internally used Microsoft Teams and inquiry management systems, we promote operational efficiency and productivity improvements.
In addition, in addition to the technical capabilities of Microsoft solutions that we have cultivated so far and the security knowledge for safely using the cloud, we will also use the know-how gained from this internal use to develop services that utilize Azure OpenAI Service. We have started development.

■ Initiatives for internal use

At SBT, in order to provide high-quality ICT services to our customers, we are implementing DX ourselves and working on reforms that go beyond operational efficiency and cost reduction to improve productivity. For this internal use, we will not only use general-purpose general information, but also create a secure environment to prevent confidential information such as internal regulations and manuals from leaking to the outside, and guidelines that summarize prohibited matters and usage examples for safe use. has been formulated. We have also prepared a platform to collect acquired conversation data, etc. From an information security perspective, based on insights from usage audits and data analysis, we can improve the accuracy of our own systems and improve the work efficiency and productivity of employees. We will take advantage of it.

■Example of internal use(some applications will be rolled out company-wide)

・Use with Microsoft Teams
AI chat is available in Microsoft Teams, which is used as a company-wide communication tool. Not only can you create sentences, summaries, and minutes, but you can also access internal databases such as Microsoft Sharepoint and provide answers that include internal information such as manuals and regulations. By providing quick and rich chat-based solutions to various problems that arise in daily work, we can improve work efficiency.

・Use to respond to inquiries
For various inquiries received by the information systems department, we will automatically provide a primary answer based on the relevant information from the accumulated FAQs. This enables instant responses to employees who inquire, eliminating waiting time. The information systems department can reduce the number of man-hours required for initial response, and if an answer cannot be provided, a summary of the question is conveyed and handed over to the person in charge of the information systems department. By accumulating knowledge, the accuracy of the primary answer will improve.

・Use of data analysis
By uploading business data, questionnaire data, etc. (CSV, etc.) to a uniquely prepared website, and specifying the type of analysis you wish to perform and the target data, you can perform quantitative/trend analysis and frequently occurring data. It can be summarized into various analysis results such as keyword extraction of words. It can be used for a wide range of tasks, from market research using statistical data to customer analysis.

We will continue to promote the internal use of Azure OpenAI Service and strengthen our efforts to improve the efficiency of our employees' work and the accuracy of our proprietary systems. Additionally, based on the know-how gained through internal use, we will provide services that utilize Azure OpenAI Service and contribute to the realization of DX for our customers.
