CogEra, a survey analysis service that utilizes natural language processing technology, is now available. Easily analyze text and comments from Forms surveys.

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Shinichi Ata, hereinafter referred to as SBT) will provide “CogEra”, a service that analyzes and visualizes survey results compiled using Forms, in 2021. Starts from April 12th.
"CogEra" is a service that allows you to easily perform various analyzes of aggregated survey data without any specialized knowledge. We solve the problems of questionnaires such as ``I don't know how to analyze and utilize the results'' and ``Analysis takes a huge amount of time and effort.'' In addition, by utilizing NLP (Natural Language Processing), free comments and text parts can be analyzed objectively and efficiently.
By analyzing and visualizing the survey results from various angles, you can understand overall trends, issues, and hidden needs of survey respondents, which can be used to help solve your business problems.
At the start of the service, Forms survey data will be analyzed, but we plan to expand the types of data that can be handled in the future.

 

■ Background

In recent years, with changes in work styles such as telework, online communication has become established, and an increasing number of companies are conducting surveys online to measure customer and employee satisfaction. Among these, Forms provided by Microsoft 365 is becoming increasingly used as a tool that allows you to easily create surveys and tests on any topic.
By analyzing survey results from multiple angles, you can lead to more appropriate actions and measures. However, there are many cases where analysis is not completed due to reasons such as the procurement of data utilization personnel and resources for analysis, and the high cost of introducing analysis services. In particular, unformatted text data is said to be difficult to analyze due to the linguistic uniqueness of the Japanese language.

"CogEra" is a survey analysis service using natural language processing that was developed based on the know-how of utilizing Microsoft cloud solutions and the knowledge of big data analysis that SBT has cultivated through its business to date.
Not only numerical data, but also text and comments freely entered by respondents can be easily aggregated and analyzed to derive useful feedback from surveys. Data analysis can be performed without expensive installation costs or specialized knowledge/resources, and it provides simple and easy-to-understand functions at a low price.
The name ``CogEra'' is an abbreviation for Cognitive Era, and our hope is that it will grow into a tool that represents this era, where cognitive computing (*) is becoming commonplace.
Also, the name Kogera comes from the Japanese woodpecker. Just as a woodpecker digs for food in the trunk of a tree that cannot be seen, it was named to be ``a service that allows you to dig up and visualize valuable opinions and intentions from a huge amount of survey data.''
