SB Technology Corp.

SB Technology Corp. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Shinichi Ata, hereinafter referred to as SBT) has announced that it will be implementing the next Local Government Information Security Cloud migration (Procurement in Reiwa 3), which will begin from April 2021 onwards. ), we are pleased to announce that we have begun construction of a service-type Local Government Information Security Cloud meets the essential requirements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and supports joint procurement by multiple prefectures regardless of area.

■ Background

In 2016, "improving the resilience of local government information systems" targeting municipalities and "building Local Government Information Security Cloud" targeting prefectures was launched with the aim of strengthening the security of each local government, and SBT became the largest We constructed Local Government Information Security Cloud for four prefectures and operated it for four years.
When constructing and operating Local Government Information Security Cloud, each SBT has different requirements for systems and services, and it was necessary to respond to individual specifications. We have accumulated a variety of know-how in both hard and soft aspects for local governments, such as support for raising local governments.

In preparation for the upcoming transition to the next generation Local Government Information Security Cloud, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will once again review (*1) local government information security measures, and in addition to security measures against cyber attacks, will improve the efficiency and convenience of local governments. Requirements are currently being considered.
Under these circumstances, the Working Group for the Fundamental Improvement of the My Number System and the National and Local Digital Infrastructure at the Digital Government Ministerial Conference has decided that the next Local Government Information Security Cloud will be a transition to a private cloud service that meets standard requirements and will be led by the government. Joint procurement is mentioned (*2).
As Digital Agency is launched in the future and digital transformation accelerates, it will be necessary to use the cloud instead of on-premises, which has low implementation costs, speed, and high flexibility. Therefore, it is expected that there will be a demand for joint use and procurement of private cloud services that can standardize and unify municipal business systems.
As the ways of working and business operations are changing significantly due to the coronavirus pandemic, SBT is leveraging its experience as a private company in quickly responding to new threat countermeasures under telework, as well as the experience that can only be gained by operating multiple local governments. , we will build this service to solve the issues of the next Local Government Information Security Cloud.

Based on our many years of experience in cloud implementation and cloud security knowledge, SBT provides comprehensive support from creating a roadmap to building and operating a roadmap to achieve zero trust security.
Just like private companies, it is considered essential for local governments to build the next generation Local Government Information Security Cloud, which is based on the premise of realizing flexible work styles using the cloud, in addition to security measures that can respond to new threats. Masu.
