(President and CEO: Ata Shinichi, headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as SBT) is pleased to announce that it will begin offering a Microsoft® Office 365 (hereinafter referred to as Office 365) and Active Directory (hereinafter referred to as AD) integration solution as part of its ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) on Cloud menu.

At the same time, SBT migrated part of its in-house Office 365 authentication infrastructure to ADFS, which was built on the public cloud. This enabled single sign-on and access control without requiring additional server assets. SBT is applying the experience and know-how it gained from these in-house implementations to ADFS on Cloud.

SBT will continue to work to meet the expectations of all customers seeking to migrate to cloud services, based on its track record of implementing Microsoft products for customers and the technical know-how it has gained from its own implementations.

ADFS on Cloud is a solution that utilizes a cloud infrastructure to integrate Microsoft® Office 365 (hereinafter referred to as Office 365) with Active Directory (hereinafter referred to as AD). Traditionally, the biggest challenge in integrating Office 365 with AD was the need to purchase new servers for synchronization and access control. Additionally, even with a cloud-based solution, there were issues such as the operational burden of owning assets and the lack of guaranteed availability in the event of a disaster.
