SoftBank Technology Corp. (President & CEO: Ata Shinichi, headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as SBT) and M-SOLUTIONS, Inc. (President and CEO: Sato Mitsuhiro, headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as M-SOLUTIONS) are pleased to announce that they will begin offering a time attendance management service as part of the new Mobile PerfectR SP series of smartphone and smart tablet compatible services. In connection with this, SBT will be holding a seminar titled "Making better use of iPhone, iPad, and iPad mini in business" on the 3rd floor of the Apple Store Ginza on Monday, November 26, 2012.

"Mobile PerfectR SP" is a smartphone and smart tablet compatible service with no initial cost and a monthly usage fee starting from 100 yen (per ID). The attendance management service that will be launched this time is a Lite version of M-SOLUTIONS' attendance management system "Staff Care." By being able to easily enter arrival and departure times from outside the office using a smartphone or smart tablet, it significantly reduces the workload. Furthermore, by linking with GPS location information, it is possible to provide detailed location information.

Expected usage scenarios

  1. Salespeople who often go straight to work or back
    In addition to reducing the workload of sales representatives, the system can identify their location at the time they enter their arrival and departure times (using GPS location information), making the attendance status of employees out of the office visible in real time and useful for sales strategies.
  2. Staff who are out all day attending events or exhibitions
    In addition to reducing the workload of employees, the system displays the attendance times of all staff on the management screen, allowing you to check their attendance status at a glance. The entered attendance information can be downloaded in CSV format and used as data for payroll calculations.
  3. Stores that use time cards
    There is no need to purchase time recorder equipment for each store. Furthermore, when implemented in conjunction with the BYOD pack, employees can use their personal smartphones (note) to keep capital investment to zero.
