The Japan HR Challenge Awards, now in its seventh year, recognizes companies that are proactively taking on new and outstanding initiatives in the field of human resources. This year's award was given in recognition of the excellent initiatives that the company began in 2018 when recruiting new graduates, such as the establishment of the "Grade Skip System," which allows the idea of Mission Grading System, which links roles and treatment rather than seniority, to be applied to new graduate recruitment, and the addition of the "Professional Engineer Course," which hires students who can immediately contribute in highly specialized positions by job type.

■About Mission Grading System
It is a system that links roles and treatment, rather than seniority. SBT introduced this system in 2013 with the aim of encouraging employee growth by appointing employees to responsible work and important roles. As of June 2018, the grade system has six levels(*), with grades 1 to 3 designated General Level and grades 4 and above designated as Management Level.
*From April 2018, the grading system has been changed from 5 tiers to 6 tiers.

■ Efforts in new graduate recruitment that were the reason for the award
Grade skip system This grade skipping system is aimed at students who have "unique achievements and skills," such as winning top prizes in competitions in the fields of "cloud," "security," and "big data," which SBT focuses on, research in statistics that can be used in business, or entrepreneurial experience while they were students. Even new graduates can be placed in an appropriate role and given appropriate treatment immediately after joining the company (up to grade 3, one Management Level), providing an environment in which they can play an active role early on. Starting salaries are 257,000 to 305,000 yen per month depending on the role (up to 35% more than for regular undergraduates).
Professional engineer course Apart from the conventional ICT comprehensive course, we will recruit students who have knowledge, skills, and experience in highly specialized occupations such as "security engineers" and "data scientists" and who have the potential to work immediately. .
