External Evaluation of SB Technology

SBT has the optimal technology and know-how in fields such as cloud, security, and IoT, and provides the best solutions.
We also focus on IR and recruitment, and have received various awards in business, IR, and recruitment.
From among these, we will introduce awards and certifications that are typical of SBT.

Award

Microsoft Japan Partner of the Year Awarded for 10 consecutive years

"Microsoft Partner of the Year" is a program held once a year by Microsoft Japan to select partner companies that have achieved outstanding results.
SBT has been awarded 11 times in total, 10 consecutive years since 2014.

[Global] Winner of four Microsoft Worldwide Partner Awards, etc.

In 2016, we won four awards in the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Award, which recognizes partner companies that provide excellent solutions and services based on Microsoft products and have a wealth of experience. SBT is the first company in Japan to achieve four global crowns (according to our own research).

In 2019, we were selected as a finalist in the IoT category from more than 2,900 partners around the world. This year, SBT was the only company in Japan to be selected in the IoT field.

Received the Encouragement Award at the 12th Japan HR Challenge Awards.

 

Our company's "Advanced Expert Position System," which aims to acquire highly specialized human resources and realize long-term career paths, was highly evaluated and received the Encouragement Award at the "12th Japan HR Challenge Awards."

●Highly-expert position system
In 2013, we introduced a system that links compensation to roles rather than seniority. This initiative adds a new "Advanced Expert Area" to the system, aiming to provide compensation and long-term career paths for personnel with higher levels of expertise.
Specifically, by establishing a "dynamic compensation structure based on a full annual salary" and a "career system that allows employees to continue to demonstrate their expertise regardless of age," we have been able to recruit highly specialized personnel and develop our in-house engineers into highly specialized personnel.

Received the Award for Excellence in the Recruitment Category at the 7th Japan HR Challenge Awards.

 

The "Grade Skip System" and "Professional Engineer Course," which were launched when hiring new graduates in 2018, have been recognized as excellent initiatives in the human resources field, and received the Excellence Award in the Recruitment Category at the 7th Japan HR Challenge Awards. I received an award.

●Grade skip system
A grade skipping system for students with "unique achievements and skills." We provide an environment in which even new graduates can play an active role early on by ensuring that they are assigned an appropriate role and are treated accordingly (up to a grade 3 position, one level before the management level) immediately after joining the company.

●Professional Engineer Course
Apart from the conventional ICT comprehensive course, we will recruit students who have knowledge, skills, and experience in highly specialized occupations such as "security engineers" and "data scientists" and who have the potential to work immediately.

Certification

Obtained the highest level of "Eruboshi" certification based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace

In 2018, we were certified as "Eruboshi" by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare based on the "Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace (Women's Participation Promotion Act)" and received the highest rank (third stage).

Eruboshi is a system in which the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare certifies companies that have developed and submitted an action plan based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, and that have excellent implementation status. There are five evaluation items: (1) recruitment, (2) continued employment, (3) work style such as working hours, (4) managerial position ratio, and (5) diverse career courses.There are three certification levels that can be obtained.
SBT met the standards in all evaluation items and received the third level of certification, the highest rating.

Obtained "Kurumin" certification based on the Next Generation Development Support Measures Promotion Act

In 2021, we received "Kurumin" certification from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a "childcare support company" based on the Next Generation Development Support Promotion Act.

SBT recognizes the diversity of its employees and is promoting a variety of initiatives to create an environment where they can work actively. As one of these efforts, we have been striving to create an environment where it is easy for employees who are giving birth or raising children to balance work and childcare, and as a result, we have achieved the goals set out in the action plan, and our efforts as a company have been evaluated, and we received this award. We were able to receive certification.

Selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, a major ESG investment index

Selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index in June 2023.
The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is an index constructed by global index provider FTSE Russell that reflects the performance of Japanese companies with high ESG ratings and is designed to be sector neutral.
Furthermore, we have been selected for the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index for two consecutive years since last year.

Certified as a “DX certified business” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

In 2022, we have been certified as a "DX certified business" under the DX (digital transformation) certification system established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The DX certification system corresponds to the basic matters of the Digital Governance Code, and recognizes businesses that have formulated a management vision, developed a DX strategy and promotion system, and are recognized as being ready to promote DX. This is a system certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Selected as a constituent of the JPX-Nikkei Mid-Small Cap Index

From August 2022, we have been selected as a component of the JPX-Nikkei Mid-Small Cap Index, a stock index calculated by JPX Research Institute and Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Inc. The JPX-Nikkei Mid-Small Cap Index is based on the concept of "companies that are highly attractive to investors," and is a stock price comprised of small and mid-sized stocks that meet investment criteria such as efficient use of capital and investor-oriented management. It is an index. The selection will continue in fiscal 2023 (August 31, 2023 to August 29, 2024).

Certified as a 2023 Health and Productivity Management Organization (Large Corporation Category)

 

In 2023, we were certified as a "2023 Health and Productivity Management Organization (Large Corporate Category)'' under the Health and Productivity Management Organization Certification System established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to certify companies that practice particularly excellent health and productivity management.
The Health and Productivity Management Organization Certification System is a system that "visualizes" corporations such as large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises that practice particularly good health and productivity management, so that they can be evaluated by employees, job seekers, affiliated companies, financial institutions, etc. This is a system established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in fiscal 2016 with the aim of creating an environment where people can receive the benefits.
SBT will continue to work on further health promotion.

First time selected for Leadership Level "A-" in CDP Climate Change 2023

 

In March 2024, the CDP, an international non-profit organization, selected Minebea for the Leadership Level "A- (A minus)" in its "Climate Change Questionnaire 2023". This is the first time that Minebea has been selected as an "A-" company in recognition of its climate change goals and its efforts to achieve them.
Based on the TCFD's recommendations, Minebea has been working to enhance its climate change-related disclosure and transparency. In the Climate Change Questionnaire 2023, we received high marks for our use of low-carbon products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, our business strategy, targets and results, introduction of scenario analysis, and risk management.
